Qui, nel podere della casa signorile della famiglia Orloff del 1865 è stato costruito l'edificio che ospita il Resort, una vera e propria oasi in completa armonia con l'ambiente dell'isola e con la particolare architettura spetsiota.

Per la costruzione affidata al giovane architetto Elza Manola sono stati usati materiali naturali molti dei quali ricavati dalla terra dell'isola, come pietra, legno, sassi, marmo, calce, tegole, lastre di pietra maltese per la pavimentazione, tutti lavorati a mano dagli artigiani del luogo. L'armoniosa combinazione dell'architettura tradizionale, dell'estetica moderna e della tecnologia più recente, il servizio di alto livello e il caloroso sorriso dell'esperto personale rendono il soggiorno all'Orloff Resort un autentico piacere, il posto perfetto per immergersi nel totale relax. Non solo camere, ma anche monolocali e appartamenti che possono ospitare fino a sei persone con salotto, cucina e veranda, alcuni dei quali affacciati sulla piscina.

Located in the mansion's farm dated 1865 of Nicolaos Orlof's family this resort, designed by the young architect Elza Manola, gains a reputation of a real oasis because of the elegant architecture of Spetses that is in full harmony with the unique environment of the island. For its the construction were used natural materials, some of which come from the ground soil of Spetses, such as rock, wood, pebbles, marble, lime, tiles, slab-stone, all worked by the hands of local foremen.

The harmonic co-existence of the traditional architecture with the modern aesthetics and the new technology, in association with the high standard services and the warm smile of the personnel offer to the customers a unique experience of hospitality, relaxation and pleasure. Katikies Hotel (Greece)

Sull'isola di Santorini quello che conta è il panorama, e non ve n'è uno migliore di quello che si gode dall’hotel Katikies che si affaccia sul vulcano sommerso dell'isola e l'azzurro del mare. Questo hotel nel pittoresco villaggio di Oia è una vera festa per la vista: una splendente costruzione color bianco brillante su di una roccia che si inerpica lungo una ripida collina ad un centinaio di metri sopra il mare.

Le 27 stanze per gli ospiti sfruttano al massimo questa posizione davvero unica; le stanze standard hanno terrazze private, mentre le suite migliori dispongono di stanze da letto davvero ampie con finestre panoramiche sul mare. Alcune hanno persino la sala da pranzo su terrazze all'aperto e, nel caso della Katikies Suite, un salotto che potrebbe competere con molti dei più bei bar all'aperto. Gli interni sono semplici e bianchi, nello stile tradizionale dell'isola greca, senza scadere nel minimalismo: pensate ad oggetti antichi ed al marmo, ma in quantità modesta e di gusto ricercato. L’hotel offre ottimi ristoranti come quello sul tetto, che serve cucina mediterranea sotto una veranda all'aperto, il Kirini accanto alla piscina, con un ambiente meno formale, ed il White Cave con solo tre tavoli situati in una grotta naturale, il luogo ideale per una cena romantica!

On Santorini Island, the view is the thing, and there may be none better than that from the Katikies Hotel, looking out over the island’s submerged volcanic caldera and the azure sea. This hotel located in the picturesque village of Oia is a real feast for the eyes, not just a scenic overlook but a sparkling white modernist take on a traditional cliff dwelling, spilling down the steep hillside a hundred meters above the water.

The 27 guest rooms and suites make the most of the hotel’s position and are created like a little Greek apartament; even the standard rooms have private terraces, and the better suites feature loft bedrooms with picture windows overlooking the sea. Some even feature outdoor terrace dining rooms, and in the case of the Katikies Suite, a lounge to rival many a rooftop bar. Interiors are spare and white, in traditional Greek island style, yet without venturing into showy minimalism —think antiques and marble, but in tastefully modest quantities.

The hotel offers very good restaurants as such as the one on rooftop serving Mediterranean cuisine on an open-air veranda, the Kirini poolside restaurant for more casual fare and the White Cave with just three tables in a natural cave overlooking the caldera, the perfect place for a romantic dinner!
