Birger Jarl Hotel

Prende il nome dal fondatore di Stoccolma il Birger Jarl Hotel(Jarl significa capitano, titolo che fu dato nel 1248 a Birger Magnusson di Bjalbo da re Erik XI). Realizzato in puro design svedese è situato nel centro della capitale, all’interno del triangolo compreso tra Stureplan, Hotorget e Jarlaplan.
E basta entrare in questo hotel per capire subito quanto sia pieno di sorprese proprio grazie all’atmosfera che vi si respira con quel mix senza alcun dubbio riuscito tra tradizione, come il rosso della lobby che si rifà a uno stile old-fashion, e l’eccellenza del miglior design svedese attuale con le sue forme pulite e i toni chiari degli arredi che si amalgamano alle perfezione con punte di colore acceso. Un risultato davvero eccellente grazie a quegli architetti e designer chiamati giocare con la loro creatività per realizzare un albergo davvero unico sia negli spazi comuni che in alcune camere e suite.

Una moltitudine di oggetti e di soluzioni d’arredo da osservare con attenzione, perché qui niente deve passare in secondo piano. Ogni dettaglio diventa a suo modo protagonista. E se il Birger Jarl è un vero e proprio trionfante inno alla nazione, non poteva essere altrimenti anche il ristorante Conservatory dove sono proposti piatti dell’antica cucina del luogo se pur rivisitati in maniera contemporanea.

The name of this hotel is borrowed from the founder of Stockholm, Birger Jarl (Jarl is the title that Birger Magnusson of Bjalbo received from king Erik XI in 1248). As soon as you step in through the main entrance, you will see that Birger Jarl is an hotel that is full of surprises. Seen from the street, its façade uniform and unassuming. Inside, it ’s a place for people who appreciate a diversity of excellent design and who take pleasure in.

When you visit it, however, you will notice at once that the hotel combines these traditions with innovative thinking and considerate service, as well as the best that modern Swedish design has to offer.. The traditional red tone of the walls in the lobby recalls old-fashioned Swedish colour schemes, while each object within it has a modern feel. You will be surrounded by a highly creative atmosphere. Lobby, livings and all room categories, whether standard, business or signature, are designed to unite functionality and aesthetic appeal offering a multitude of different items to observe and examine. This gives you the chance to discover something new every time you visit it.
Don’t forget to enjoy the Conservatory restaurant for an enjoyable dinner in an undemanding atmosphere. Swedish ingredients dominate the kitchen with a menu clients will find both Swedish classics of modern vintage and crossovers.
